Colorfest
|
| Colorfest is the
name for our fall festival in Southwest Colorado. During September
and October the communities in our region gather together
to offer a wide variety of fall activities and cultural pursuits,
just the kind that delight artists, adventurists and fun loving
folk. |

| Colorfest is loaded with
special events like Victorian home tours, photography workshops
and Indian powwows. The San Juan Mountains are decked out
in their finest gold and everyone has fun exploring the outdoors.
Bicycle tours, river races, balloon rallies, jeep jamborees,
and the ever-popular Narrow Gauge train all provide easy escapes
into a land filled with sunshine and color. |

| Indoor events include an
annual culinary arts fair, film festival, literature conference
and playwright competition. Check the calendar and with each
community for details regarding Colorfest. There are over
seventy events in fourteen communities during the two months;
so there’s bound to be something for everyone. |
